Our Goals

The North Cascades Initiative has five major goal areas:

1. Land and Water Protection. Protect the wildlands and waters of the North Cascades using a variety of tools and techniques.
2. Recreation. Expand opportunities for sustainable recreation on our public lands, with an emphasis on federal lands.
3. Stewardship. Promote and foster stewardship of our public lands, waters, and other natural resources.
4. Awareness & Engagement. Raise awareness about the North Cascades Initiative and the value of our work and wildlands to vibrant communities and overall quality of life. 
5. Capacity Building and Program Development. Build TWS capacity to adequately support the implementation of the North Cascades Initiative.
