"StorySki" trails are 1 kilometer cross-country ski loops lined with the stories of the books Polar Opposites and Polar Polka. The ski trails allow young skiers and their families to ski while reading an entire book, gliding through the magic of winter in the Methow Valley.

YMCA Boys Outdoor Leadership Development (B.O.L.D.)

B.O.L.D. is dedicated to helping young men develop the leadership and life skills necessary to be successful and altruistic community leaders. B.O.L.D. takes the form of after school clubs in 12 Seattle area middle schools and 5- to 14-day wilderness expeditions during the summer months. Their programs provide the opportunity to work with strong male role models and in challenging and new environments - from rock climbing to mountaineering and service projects to poetry slams.
