Cabin Creek Sno-Park

Just an hour from Seattle lies the Cabin Creek Sno-Park. This area, 10 miles east of Snoqualmie Pass, has plenty of fun trails for all kinds of winter recreation. Here you can cross-country or skate ski on groomed trails, snowshoe up and down rolling hills, or take your skis or snowshoes to the backcountry.

To reach Cabin Creek, take exit 63 off of I-90 and park on the south side of the freeway. The Sno-Park extends on both sides of the freeway, with most of the trails to the north of I-90. To reach the trails across from the parking area, walk the overpass north to the trailheads.

Cabin Creek has 10 miles of groomed trails, including the Viking Course, Berg Course, Boundary Trail, and the South Loop. The trails are groomed three days a week ? if you are on snowshoes be sure to steer clear of the parallel tracks cut by the groomers for skiers.

Trail Notes: Cabin Creek requires a Sno-Park permit. Day Permits are available, as are Seasonal Permits. Season passes must be accompanied by a Special Groomed Trails Permit. For more information, including where you can purchase permits, visit the permit sites for the Washington State Parks. You can also visit Washington State Parks' page about the Cabin Creek Sno-Park. As with all winter recreation, be sure to check the avalanche forecast, road conditions, and weather forecast before heading out.
